Our advanced junior classes are for those judoka who have moved on from the beginner and intermediate stages and are now seeking further development to prepare them for senior judo. The sessions are a mixture of technical/tactical instruction and randori. Some of the advanced juniors at Camberley train also with the senior sections and two of our public classes on Wednesday cater for both advanced junior and senior judoka. Many choose to train with the full time elite group during school/college holidays and all are welcome to do this.
Although emphasis is not placed on competition results at this level many of Camberley’s advanced junior’s enter competitions both domestically and abroad. The advanced junior section has a track record of producing several national champions and England/GBR cadet squad members as well as representatives at Cadet European, Youth Olympics and Cadet World Championships.
