3 CJC fighters have been selected to represent Team GB in the upcoming European Games in Baku. Congratulations to Ashley McKenzie, Owen Livesey and Frazer Chamberlain. They make up the majority of the male team of 5 athletes.
Baku 2015 will have added significance for our judoka as the European Games double up as the European Championships with added Rio 2016 ranking points on offer as well.
153 athletes have been selected to represent Team GB at the inaugural European Games at Baku 2015.
In total, 19 disciplines from 13 sports will be in action for Team GB in Baku and, for many of the athletes, this will be their first taste of a major multi-sport Games and a chance to wear the Olympic Rings.
The Azerbaijani capital city is set to host the Opening Ceremony on Friday June 12th 2015 before the action kicks off which will see over 6,000 athletes from 50 European nations compete in the 253 medal events.
