The Surrey Heath Sports Awards celebrated the best in local sporting achievement on Sunday 13 October at the recently revamped Camberley Theatre.
Organised by Surrey Heath Borough Council, the awards honour people from all over the borough who have excelled in sports including football, judo and netball.
Nominations were put forward by Camberley Judo Club and reached the final short list for the following awards:
Coach of the Year- Natalie Hall
Sports Person of the Year- Danny Williams
Young Sports Person of the Year- Sarah Hill
We were thrilled that against stiff competition Natalie and Danny both won their respective awards, well done to Sarah for getting as far as the final short list. We were also pleasantly surprised when CJC’s mini warrior Tom Kirk won the award for Most Improved at the Surrey Youth Games. Well done to everyone.
The winner of the Sports Awards will automatically be entered into the county-wide Surrey Sports Awards which are held in December.
