Well done to everyone that fought in the Heart of England. The event was held at Walsall campus on 6th & 7th September.

On the Saturday the younger fighters really got stuck in and all showed increasing maturity in their contests. Tom Lichter won bronze in in the pre cadet boys -60kg, in the same category Oliver Baldwin and Oliver Penny gained 7th places. David Saran picked up a 5th place in the cadet -60kg and Ben Baxter despite missing out on a placing this time gained more valuable experience.


On Sunday the Junior and Seniors took to the mat with an impressive medal haul by the end of the day. Golds went to Owen Livesey -90kg and Sarah Hill -70kg junior. Silvers were won by Dru Oakes -66kg, Aaron Turner-73kg, Laura Tapping -70kg junior. Bronze to George Cullum -73kg junior, and 5th places for Liam Franklin -66kg and Reece Howard -60kg junior & senior.
