Wednesday the 15th March at 4 pm, the Mayor and Mayoress Winterton and Stuart Baldwin Officially Opened the strength and conditioning unit at CJC.
Head Coach Luke had invited all the club members and sponsors who directly helped to build and sponsor this price matched funded Community Project from Surrey Heath Council.
Stuart Baldwin ran the marathon to raise 50% of the cost of the overall project. Our local councillors Cllr Chapman, Cllr Iverson and Cllr Fuller all donating from their own members allocation.
Allan Paine spent a week onsite working for free and assumed the foreman role.
Marcus Penny, Donna Paine, Charlie Lorde, Douglas Brown, Stuart Baldwin, Allan Paine, Grandad Paine, Mick Davin and Luke Preston who braved the rain to build the Jenga style build. With little instructions from the company, they managed to build the 6 by 10 m gym.
Danny Pecorelli sponsored the Olympic platforms, with Rotary and Innerwheel donating to the weights.

This was a huge undertaking to complete but was taken on in true Camberley Judo Club Spirit. Through the generosity of all mentioned above, we have a resource that is used daily by all our athletes and members for the coming future.
