Players at Camberley Judo club have received a much needed financial boost from local business 3C Environmental Technology
Directors Tony Baxter and Dave Weston who has been heavily involved with the club for the last few years have been impressed with the level of dedication and commitment the players have shown in their bid for gold at the London Olympics and beyond and have decided to support the club and its players to reach their goals.
Tony commented “The levels of effort & commitment shown by the elite players and coaching staff based at Camberley Judo Club are incredible. Not only do they push themselves to the limit, these Olympians, World, European and British Champions can often be seen on the mat sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm with the junior members. 3C Environmental Technology are proud to be associated with such a high achieving, inspirational and, most importantly, friendly club”.
Sam Lowe who was one of the players who has benefited from the sponsorship said ‘’ 3CET’s extremely kind donation has come at a crucial time in my Judo career. With 16 months till the Olympic games in London this is the time that I need to get to as many tournaments in the UK and abroad to gain the results needed for selection. I have recently had my funding cut and support like this from local businesses means I can focus on my training, making sure I give 100% in my quest for that Olympic Gold.’’
The sponsorship has gone towards helping the players with their training, competition and living expenses.
