Fantastic weekend in bonny Scotland for the A band nationals! Dylan, Maria and Eric did the club proud and fought really hard!
Maria just missing the Weight for u36’s so had to fight u40s and although giving away a lot of weight fought amazingly! Very dodgy decision on 1 of her fights meant that she missed out of a medal by finishing 3rd in the pool out of 6 players and you need to be top 2 to go through! 5 great fights though and lots to work on!
Eric and Dylan both competed in the u34s! Both making it out of the pools and ending up fighting for bronze! Eric was unlucky to miss out on a medal this time and ending up with a fantastic 5th place! (He threw for ippon in 4 of the 6 fights he had!!) Amazing!!
Dylan who was on the opposite side of the draw fought confidently all day and although the fight he lost to get into the final was a very dodgy Shido against the eventual gold medalist! So Dylan walked away with a well earned BRONZE in a very tough category!
Well done to all…I couldn’t be prouder!
