Luke Preston was so happy to witness, David’s return to Judo on Wednesday evening. David is a huge inspiration to all of CJC judo players and coaches.
A message from the Saran Family
David’s accident was on the 28th of march 2016. A serious fall on the slopes of Italy left him paralyzed and unable to speak. Long gone seem these days where he could only blink yes it no with his eyes. Thanks to many dedicated teams in the fabulous NHS , St George’s and Epsom community and to the intensive rehab in the Children’s Trust he recovered amazingly. There were the big milestones like coming home after half a year of hospitalisation, starting to walk and talk again, the day when he went back to school.
Finally also the day when he went back on the mat again in under a year, he likes to point out.
Many thanks to the support from the club. The many well wishes and interest in his recovery are much appreciated.
And thanks for the warm welcome back.
