Five of Camberley’s junior boys were in action at the Southern Area Open for orange belts and under. First up was Jack Baxter who had a solid performance winning three of his four fights to take Silver in the U24KG 8-10 year olds. Tom Kirk & Luke Smith both fought well in winning 3 of four fights to take silver & bronze medals in the U34KG 8-10 year olds, each having lost to the eventual gold medallist. Despite having just moved up to this weight both TK & Luke looked comfortable against the slightly bigger opponents and demonstrated a good array of technique. Joseph Mitchell, competing in the U38KG category, was the last of the 8-10 years old fighters. Although inexperienced at this level Joseph fought well and won one of his four fights to take a well deserved bronze medal. Ben Baxter fighting in the U38KG 10-12 year olds, continued his recent good form to win 4 of his five fights in a strong group, to take bronze.
