CAMBERLEY JUDO CLUB

Camberley Judo Club, Deer Rock Road, Camberley, Surrey GU15 4EP

Surrey Closed Minimon at Redhill

The Camberley Judo Club mini warriors were out in force, the largest entry in a single competition that the club has seen for many years. The up and coming fighters certainly didn’t disappoint bagging an outstanding 20 medals, even more impressive considering for many it was their first ever competition!

Golds medals went to Pippa Boocock in her first ever competition, Keira Clisby who had no entrants in her weight so fought up a weight and still won gold. Sophie Dickson, again in her first competition she had some fantastic fights and performed some lovely throws and hold downs. Ellie Kirby who convincingly won with a number of strong Ippons. Oakley Boocock, first competition, managed to win gold in one of the biggest categories of the day with an impressive 8 fights. Equal points in the pools meant they all had to re fight. Oakley beat everyone the 2nd time through and threw them all for Ippon. Gold also to Dennis Gorman who performed a very nice sweeping hip throw. Jason Dickson, Matthew Acott, Ben Acott, Joseph Mitchell, Charlie Fryatt and Jack Beynon all won Gold medals too.

Bringing home the silver medals were Sophie Kwist, Bailey Nixon, Jack Baxter and Luke Smith. Finally the bronze medals went to Lewis Shadrake, Callum Motler, Louie Baylis and Tom Kirk.

A fantastic day for Camberley Judo Club’s young ones, well done to all that took part and thank you to all the parents that supported!
