Tokyo Grand Slam- 9th -11th December 2011 To finish off a busy year Karina Bryant embarked on an Asian tour. First stop was Tokyo Japan. After some preparation training and acclimatization Karina competed in the last prestigious Grand Slam event of the year. An important event for her to pick up more World ranking points.
Judo Ashes Black Tie Gala Dinner 2012
In 2009 the world famous Pennyhill Park Hotel hosted the inaugural judo ashes when members of Camberley Judo Club’s elite team faced the Australian national team at the black tie dinner. Samoa World Cup- Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th Sunday
Two days and 3 flights got our four CJC warriors to Samoa to compete in the World Cup. All focussed on gathering Olympic qualifying points. Our younger fighters travelled en masse to the age and belt categorised competition to finish of the weekends medal haul, and what a great job they did! Swedish Open European Cup- Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th October
5 of our senior Camberley fighters travelled to Boras, Sweden for the next European Cup event. Nathon Burns -66kg was on a mission, ploughing through his first four fights to get himself in the final against a Russian fighter.
